What is Viscoderm Hydrobooster?

Viscoderm Hydrobooster is a hyaluronic acid-based, minimally invasive injectable treatment used to improve fine lines and wrinkles around your forehead, eyes and mouth. The highly concentrated formula provides deep hydration to your skin and improves skin texture.

Viscoderm Hydrobooster is a fantastic option if you want to reduce fine lines and wrinkles and improve the quality and hydration of your skin.

The hyaluronic acid-based treatment works on the deeper layers of your skin, helping to smooth and stretch the appearance of wrinkles and revitalise your skin from within. It also helps to stimulate collagen production, which naturally declines as you age.

Viscoderm Hydrobooster and Profhilo® are both hyaluronic acid-based products used for skin rejuvenation.

Viscoderm Hydrobooster is a skin booster, used to stretch out fine lines and wrinkles around your eyes, mouth and forehead, while deeply hydrating skin. Profhilo® is a bio-remodelling agent that improves skin laxity and texture by stimulating skin cells to produce more collagen and elastin. Profhilo® can be used on your face, neck, chest and hands, as well as other areas of your body.

Depending on your skin needs, both treatments can be used together to achieve optimal results to your overall skin quality. During your initial assessment we will advise you of the recommended treatment option.

The number of recommended treatments will vary depending on the condition of your skin. In general, 2 treatments are scheduled 8 weeks apart; repeating treatments after 6 months to ensure long-lasting results.

As with any injectable treatment, side effects may include redness, bruising, itching, swelling, pain and tenderness. If you have an important event coming up, we advise treatment at least 3–5 days prior, to allow any side effects to settle.

It’s recommended to avoid anything that can make your blood thinner, such as ginger, garlic, green tea, oily fish, high dose vitamin C and E, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications (for e.g. Brufen, aspirin and Voltaren), for 2 weeks prior to treatment and 48 hours post-treatment.

Viscoderm Hydrobooster is not advised if you:

  • are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • are allergic to hyaluronic acid
  • have an active infection on the area of treatment
  • have keloid scarring on the area of treatment
  • are planning a long-haul flight within one week of treatment.

Individual results vary, but generally last around 6 months. You will see changes immediately after treatment that will continue to improve as Viscoderm integrates into the skin.

A topical anaesthetic is applied to your skin before treatment to ensure your comfort.

You can combine Viscoderm Hydrobooster with other treatments, however it’s recommended to wait at least 2 weeks following Botox.

Chemical peels, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and microdermabrasion are also not recommended 2 weeks pre or post Viscoderm Hydrobooster treatment.

Each Viscoderm Hydrobooster treatment takes about 45 minutes.

Viscoderm Hydrobooster is most commonly used to treat fine lines and wrinkles on dynamic areas of your face such as your forehead, eyes and mouth.
